to: EHS/HS Director and Center Director Salary: This is an employee-at-will hourly position.
Salary is based on the EHS salary schedule.
Cleaning and maintaining the entire facility using the proper
chemicals, equipment and techniques. He/she will report any unsafe conditions
and/or maintenance needs to the EHS/HS Director or Center Director.
Minimum Qualifications/Job Requirements:
Prefer a high school diploma or equivalent, or one
to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination
of education and experience. Must be
knowledgeable of cleaning supplies and equipment; be able to perform each
essential duty satisfactorily.
Thoroughly cleans assigned areas; responsible for
security in assigned areas; daily check of lights, water faucets and gas
outlets before leaving assigned area; report unsafe conditions or needed
repairs to proper personnel.
- Locking the doors at specified
- Cleaning the classrooms (i.e.,
empty the pencil sharpeners, empty the trash, dust, replace burned out
lights, clean desk/tables, clean sinks and toilets, fill dispensers if
applicable, sweep/vacuum the floor, mop, secure the windows and lock the
- Cleaning the restrooms (i.e., fill
dispensers, empty all trash, clean and disinfect sinks and fixtures., clean
and disinfect toilets and urinals, clean mirrors, clean and disinfect
walls and stalls, check ceiling for paper towels and other objects,
replace burned out lights, sweep and flood mop floors).
- Cleaning the drinking fountains
and hand washing sinks.
- Sweep, vacuum, mop and buffing the
hallways using proper procedures.
- Sweep outside entryway
- Pick up trash from outside
walkways/entrance to building
- Clean glass in doors
- Shampoo carpets 2 times/year or as
- Other duties as assigned by the
Center Director or EHS/HS Director.
