Reports To: Special Education Program Director  
 
SupervisesAdministrative Assistant assigned to program 
    
   
Job Goal: To provide regional planning, technical assistance, and staff development to local education agency personnel and members of the interdisciplinary team who serve students with disabilities.  
  
   
Performance Responsibilities: 
  1. Provide training and technical assistance for Speech-Language Pathologists
  2. Coordinate the TETN/TWU Speech-Language Pathology Graduate Program at Region 15
  3. Provide training and technical assistance in the area of Assistive Technology
  4. Provide training and technical assistance related to Parent Coordination activities, included the Parent Survey/ SPP #8
  5. Serve as the Region 15 contact for the Disproportionality statewide project
  6. Participate as a member of the Region 15 Turnaround Team and assist in providing technical assistance to districts and campuses identified as under-performing in the state & federal accountability rating system.
  7. Attend professional meetings, seminars and other training sessions to be informed of current innovations and research in programs serving students with disabilities
  8. Perform other duties as assigned by the Special Education Program Director, Associate Director and/or the Executive Director 
Special Considerations  
  • Salary is contingent upon qualifications and experience
  • Travel required (some overnight)
Terms of Employment  
  • Position available August 1, 2019 (negotiable).  
  • This is a twelve-month position.
